we are almost at the end of the process to bring Apollo home. We started this in May and we will have him home by the end of January. 8 months - a lot like a pregnancy - 8 months of tears, joy, confusion, heartache, bonding... it has not been an easy road - but such a short period of time compared to some countries and international adoption.
the latest bit of news is that we have a visa interview for Apollo on January 5th. Someone from BH will take him to the US Embassy and he will be "interviewed" about coming to the States. A few days later his visa will be ready and voila... that is it. We will travel over there about a week later, make an overnight trip to his home village and bring him home at the end of the week.
we celebrated christmas this morning, we have 4 christmas eve services tomorrow - a quick trip to Denver to see family - finalize preparations for travel to Ghana - fly over...
ready to take down decorations and move forward with the next few weeks.!

YEAH! I can't wait until Apollo is home with you! I'm looking forward to seeing his face in pics on your blog and reading stories about him! (I'm such a blogging nerd!)
Our appointment is scheduled for Monday - we had to do some back and forth with the doctors for the medical. They were wanting to reimmunize her, which I wasn't really happy about...
Anyway, the Westerby's are also scheduled for next week. I'll let you know how it goes for us, but the woman at the Embassy made it sound like it was no big deal.
