I LOVE YOU TOO

we went to church this morning with romana's family and several other people. apollo and i wore our matching green and white outfits. :) it was a nice service and it was good to be there.
after church, we went to the mall again and ate outside in the food court - we topped it off with icecream. apollo and i both got coffee flavored! yea~! it was so good.
we walked around the mall a bit and he held my hand the entire time.
back at bh we played and took pictures. i brought tattoos so we did those - the kids wanted them everywhere. apollo put one on my ankle.
we jumped on the trampoline till we were out of breath and dripping with sweat.
i sat on the trampoline and he came and laid his head in my lap -
i was rubbing his stomach and playing with his hair.
I said, "apollo, i love you"
silence - he said nothing
it dawned on me that he may not understand what that means.
so i asked him and he said no.
wow...pit in my stomach
how do you explain that? what is the definition?
i tried..
"it means that i care for you, i pray for you, i want to be with you,
i am sad when we are not together, you are special to me, you are a part of me,
moms and dads feel this way about their children,
you know in the bible when it says that God loves us?
that is like the love i have for you - ....."
i wanted to tell him that he could say it back to me, whenever he felt the same way
but i didn't want to force it and put any pressure.
about an hour later, it was time for me to leave and
he was playing with sidewalk chalk. i took the chalk and wrote
mom loves apollo
i kissed him and told him good night and that i loved him.
he reached out to hug me and said in my ear,
"i love you too"
as i sit on my room and journal this, my mind is overwhelmed with
so many thoughts and revelations
God loved us before we loved him
God is love
God loved us and gave his son
love is patient, love is kind, love does not envy...
love never fails
God thank you for loving me - i praise your name
you are my savior and provider,
my strength and the lifter of my head.
how can i say thanks for the things you have done for me
things so undeserved
yet you give to prove your love for me
the voices of a million angels
cannot express my gratitude
all that i am or ever hope to be
i owe it all to thee
to God be the glory, to God be the glory,
to God be the glory, for the things he has done.
with his blood he has saved me
by his power he has raised me
to God be the glory for the things he has done.
just let me live my life. let it be pleasing lord to thee
and should i gain any praise
let it go to calvary
with his blood he has saved me
by his power he has raised me
to God be the glory
for the things he has done.
